Great participation from our community

A lovely and smart group from our community participated on the 17th of Ocboter in the  community workshop ‘Mobile Phones Confusing’ . With an interesting speech from the online and social media expert Nick Bowditch the participants learned about a large range of  mobile phones features and how to use it from the customers’ perspective.

“Very informative, enjoyed your demostration, will tell to my friends, a lot of things to learn!” were some of the comments of the public that answered a lot of questions regarding the use of their mobile phones. Howewer, they asked for regular events like that to know more about new technologies and how to use it when they are shopping. It is a interesting challenge for our Chamber to work together with our community.

QR Codes

Did you know… QR Codes (it stands for “Quick response”) is a mobile phone readable bar code that can store website URL’s, plain text, phone numbers, email addresses and pretty much any other alphanumeric data?

Storing up 4296 characters they are internationally standardised under ISO 18004, so QR code is a QR code all over the world. They’ve been in Japan forever, broke into Europe and UK, and are now getting real traction in the USA and nor in Toronto, Australia!

Download your FREE QR code reader from phones App store.
